Notes:

No mission is complete until the paperwork is done!

The IS organization currently enters mission hours and bridge discrepancy report counts into AuxData

Normally, the coxswain submits the mission hours for the vessel and crew as a safety or other patrol mission

You can not “double dip” mission hours on a routine patrol with the hours you spent during that patrol identifying bridge discrepancies

You must submit a separate, individual 7030 for your bridge discrepancy identification activities. That form should:

Show no more than 10 minutes of time (so you don’t count your patrol time twice, once as crew and once as AV)

Show the count of how many bridges you verified, and how many discrepancies you reported

If the verification was a team effort, members should decide together how many each is taking credit for

Again, no double-dipping. If two people collaborated to check four bridges, they might each take credit for two.

It is possible to record an entire patrol as a PATON patrol, in which case the total counts can be recorded on the patrol 7030.
